Grantseeker Workshops
The workshops make a great complement to The Australian Directory of Philanthropy, ensuring you have the knowledge to get the most out of your Directory, but are accessible and useful for anyone looking for funding from philanthropic sources.
In order to ensure each attendant gets the most value from each workshop, numbers are limited. Please ensure you book your place as early as possible.
About the Presenter
Each workshop is conducted by Vanessa Meachen, Philanthropy Australia's Research and Training Coordinator. Vanessa has been at Philanthropy Australia since 1998. She has provided advice and information to major corporations, national and international trusts and foundations, politicians and policy makers, charities and community groups all around Australia.
After obtaining an MA at Monash University, Vanessa worked in film distribution and website design before becoming Philanthropy Australia's primary researcher. She has conducted a regular series of workshops for grantseekers for more than five years in all Australian states and territories, as well as conducting workshops for special interest groups including peak bodies, universities and state and regional governments.

Make a Booking
If you are trying to book one month or less ahead of a workshop, please check the calendar or contact Philanthropy Australia to make sure there are still places available.
1. Register Your Interest
Register your interest* by emailing the workshop date you wish to attend, your name, email address and organisation to workshops@philanthropy.org.au
* By registering your interest in attending a workshop via email, organisers are able to gauge the number of attendees a workshop will have. As these workshops often sell out, registering your interest as soon as possible allows us to ensure you have a place at your workshop of choice.
2. Complete the Booking Form
Download a Booking Form (PDF) to return to us via email, post or fax.
Booking is essential, as workshop spaces are limited and in high demand. Full payment must accompany booking form in order to ensure your place.
PLEASE NOTE:
- Bookings are not guaranteed until payment is received and confirmation is provided by Philanthropy Australia. Confirmation of bookings will be provided with tax invoice. If no confirmation of booking is received, please contact Philanthropy Australia to confirm your place as no refund will be available for non-attendance.
- For cancellations less than 72 hours before workshop, no refund is available but substitute delegates are welcome.
- For cancellations more than 72 hours before workshop, workshop fee will be refunded less an administration charge of $10.
- Workshop places are not transferable to another date.
Custom Workshops
Philanthropy Australia is also able to conduct custom workshops for special interest groups including peak bodies, universities and state and regional governments.
If appropriate, custom workshops will also be advertised on the Workshop calendar.
